The telecommunications giant Verizon announced Vandana Venkatesh will serve as the company’s chief legal officer.
Venkatesh, who will replace the newly promoted Craig Silliman, most recently has worked as the senior vice president and general counsel for the Verizon Consumer Group (VCG).
She has held a variety of leadership roles at Verizon supporting the Enterprise, Public Sector, Information Technology, and Sourcing business units.
"Vandana is a proven leader with extensive experience across a variety of legal functions and business units and will be a key member of our leadership team during this transformative time,” Verizon Chairman and CEO Hans Vestberg said.
CME Group
The derivatives marketplace announced it has named Jonathan Marcus its senior managing director and general counsel.
Marcus most recently worked in private practice as a partner at Reed Smith, where he specialized in derivatives regulation, litigation and enforcement.
He also previously served as general counsel of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) from 2013 to 2017, advising the commission on a wide range of issues, including implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act and digital asset regulation.

SunPower
The solar technology and energy services company announced Eileen Evans will serve as its new chief legal officer.
Evans most recently served as chief legal and corporate affairs officer at Redaptive, a tech-enabled sustainability-as-a-service company.
She also previously held in-house counsel roles at Hewlett-Packard, Oracle and Sun Microsystems.
"Eileen brings a depth of experience at large and growing technology organizations that will be incredibly valuable as SunPower continues to expand and evolve during this time of marked growth," said Peter Faricy, SunPower’s CEO.
Deer Park Road Management
The alternative investment management firm announced the addition of Robert Attai as general counsel.
Attai joins Deer Park from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck in Denver, where he was an equity shareholder advising clients on a wide range of matters, including debt and equity financings, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions.
He has also supported negotiations with foreign governments, joint venture participants, partners, service providers and financing sources across the world.

SirionLabs
The contract lifecycle management (CLM) provider announced that Evangelos Apostolou has been named the company’s general counsel.
Apostolou was previously Sirion’s president for EMEA from 2016 to 2018 and has been a member of the Sirion Advisory Board since 2018.
He also previously worked as an equity partner and general counsel of Ernst & Young (EY) in APAC, served as a principal of an EY law practice member firm in Southeast Asia, and was vice president, chief counsel of APAC for British Telecom.
