Eaton announced it has named Taras “Terry” Szmagala Jr. its executive vice president and chief legal officer.
Szmagala, who joined Eaton in 2007, most recently served as the power management company’s senior vice president of public and community affairs and corporate communications.
He also has served as a deputy general counsel and vice president chief counsel of the company’s industrial sector. Szmagala replaces April Miller Boise, who recently left Eaton to become Intel’s chief legal officer.
Science Applications International
The technology integrator announced the appointment of Hilary Hageman as executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary, effective July 11.
Hageman most recently served as general counsel and corporate secretary for Cubic, a defense and transportation company. She also previously worked at Science Applications International as senior vice president and deputy general counsel.

Civitas Resources
The oil and gas producer announced the appointment of Travis Counts as the company’s new chief legal officer and secretary.
Counts comes to Civitas from the Bracewell law firm, where he is currently a partner based in Texas. Prior to joining Bracewell, Counts was senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Concho Resources.
“Travis brings significant transactional, integration, and leadership experience that will be critical to the continued evolution and success of Civitas,” said Chris Doyle, Civitas’ president and CEO.

The industrial air quality and fluid handling company announced it has named Lynn Watkins-Asiyanbi its senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.
Watkins-Asiyanbi has nearly 20 years of experience working at global industrial companies and in private practice. She most recently worked as a deputy general counsel at John Bean Technologies.

The health care company announced the appointment of Denise Zamore as the company’s first chief legal officer and secretary effective August 1.
Zamore has more than 15 years of legal experience in the healthcare industry. She joins agilon health from Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, where she served as deputy general counsel leading a team supporting healthcare provider partners and executives on a broad array of areas.
“Denise brings a depth and breadth of legal expertise from the healthcare industry, including the provider and health plan sectors, which will help agilon health further our vision to transform health care at the community level with our physician partners,” CEO Steve Cell said.
