Pinterest announced it has named Wanji Walcott its next chief legal officer effective November 14.
Walcott will join the company from Discover Financial Services where she has served as chief legal officer since 2019.
Her nearly 25 years of in-house experience also includes serving as general counsel at PayPal and its VP of legal product. Additionally, Walcott is the board chair of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association.
“I’ve seen first-hand the tremendous impact Wanji has had on the businesses and communities that she has served,” said Bill Ready, Pinterest’s CEO and a former PayPal colleague of Walcott. “She is the right fit for our organization, and I am excited about the expertise, leadership and passion Wanji will bring to Pinterest.”
HP
The information technology company announced that Julie Jacobs will become its chief legal officer and general counsel next month.
Jacobs will join HP from Yahoo, where she has served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary since September 2021.
She also previously served as general counsel at Verizon Media for more than four years and as GC at AOL for more than seven years.
“Julie is a terrific executive who has led world-class legal, regulatory, government relations, and compliance functions throughout her career,” HP CEO Enrique Lores wrote on LinkedIn. “She will be an excellent addition to our leadership team as we continue building a stronger HP.”
Viant
The advertising software company announced Ritesh Patel has been named its new chief legal officer.
Patel brings to Viant almost two decades of legal experience advising public and private technology companies spanning a variety of industries.
Previously, Patel served as the head of legal for Apeel Sciences and served as VP, assistant general counsel at The Trade Desk.
The company also announced Arish Gajjar as its new SVP, deputy general counsel.

Dutch Bros Coffee
The drive-thru beverage company announced Victoria Tullett joined the company as its first chief legal officer effective Sept. 20.
Prior to joining Dutch Bros, Tullett served Papa Murphy’s for more than 20 years in various roles, including general counsel and chief legal officer. She also served as head of new store development and human resources.

The data intelligence SaaS platform announced Jay Angelo has been appointed its general counsel.
Angelo is a technology attorney with more than 15 years of legal, compliance, and operational experience, advising private and public companies.
Prior to Near, Angelo worked at Apple, where he was responsible for strategic use of data and analytics in legal operations.
