The fourth-largest full-service wireless carrier in the United States announced that Adriana Rios Welton has joined the company as head of legal and government affairs.
Welton comes to UScellular from AT&T Mexico, where she most recently served as general counsel and vice president of regulatory and external affairs.
In her new role, Welton will lead UScellular's regulatory and policy efforts at the state and federal levels and provide legal counsel to the company's leadership team regarding transactional, regulatory, telecommunications, environmental and financial issues.

The global talent management platform announced that it has named Aisha Christian its general counsel.
Christian previously served as general counsel at KIPP NYC and Rent the Runway. She also worked as an in-house lawyer at CNBC/NBC Universal and Russell Reynolds Associates.
Christian is "equipped with deep corporate experience, professional search experience, and has insight into how the legal department of a scaling organization should operate,” a True press release said. “Her role at True gives the firm’s infrastructure an incredible lift, and allows True to be more proactive in how the firm evaluates contracts, agreements and investments.”
World Insurance Associates
The full-service insurance and financial services organization announced that it has appointed veteran insurance and financial services industry lawyer Timothy Robb as its general counsel.
Most recently, Robb served as chief legal officer of Amynta Group, an insurance services company. Prior to that, he was general counsel of NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant.

The San Francisco-based technology company announced it has hired Jim Shaughnessy as its new chief legal officer.
Shaughnessy possesses more than 20 years of experience handling public policy and legal work representing technology companies. Most recently, he spent 10 years at Workday across different roles, including general counsel and senior advisor for corporate affairs.
Prior to that, he held general counsel roles at Orbitz, Lenovo, PeopleSoft and Hewlett Packard.
Matillion
The enterprise cloud data integration platform announced it has appointed Markus Bauman as general counsel and chief legal officer.
Bauman was most recently partner and head of European strategic relations at Goodwin, a global law firm, of which Matillion is a client. He also has years of experience in both the U.S. and Europe working at leading international law firms and investment banks, including Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan.
