REI Co-op announced Minnie Alexander will become its vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary effective May 31.
Alexander joins the outdoor clothing and gear company from Walt Disney, where she was assistant general counsel for more than five years. She also previously worked as in-house counsel at Campbell Soup and as attorney at the Dorsey & Whitney law firm.

Hollingsworth & Vose
The global manufacturer of advanced materials announced it has promoted Mark Freeman to vice president and general counsel.
He joined the company in 2008 as the corporate & managing IP counsel and had served as the company’s deputy general counsel since 2017. He also previously was a partner at Choate, Hall & Stewart.

Aspen Aerogels
The technology provider for sustainability and electrification solutions announced it has named Virginia Johnson its chief legal officer, general counsel and corporate secretary.
She joins Aspen Aerogels from Schneider Electric North America, where she served as general counsel. Johnson also previously served in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in the legal department of Global Atlantic Financial Group, most recently as senior vice president, head of corporate legal, associate general counsel & secretary.
"She is a smart, articulate and creative leader, and her depth of experience in corporate strategy and legal operations makes her an ideal addition to Aspen's executive team," said Aspen's President and CEO Don Young.
Veritex Community Bank
The Texas-based bank announced that Phil Donnelly has been named the bank’s senior executive vice president and general counsel.
He has held leadership positions at Starbuck Bancshares, AmericanWest Bank, Mutual of Omaha Bank, and FINOVA Capital. He also served as general counsel and director of HR to a publicly traded Berkshire Hathaway and Leucadia National subsidiary.

ECMC Group
The nonprofit focused on student success announced it has appointed Brian Boardman as general counsel and corporate secretary.
Boardman previously served as ECMC Group's deputy general counsel for more than five years. He also previously worked as associate general counsel at Northwestern University.
