Opendoor, the digital platform for residential real estate transactions, announced it has named Sydney Schaub its chief legal officer.
Most recently, Schaub was the chief legal officer, general counsel and corporate secretary at Gemini, a U.S. cryptocurrency exchange and custodian.
Schaub also previously led the legal and corporate development functions at Rent the Runway and served as associate general counsel at Square.
“As our chief legal officer, Sydney is a proven, seasoned executive who has not only excelled in the legal field but has been instrumental in making companies that are disrupting old ways of doing business into household names,” wrote Eric Wu, CEO and co-founder of Opendoor, in a blog post.

J.Crew Group
The specialty retailer announced Stacy Siegal has been appointed chief legal officer and corporate secretary.
Prior to joining J.Crew Group, Siegal served as executive vice president and general counsel at American Eagle Outfitters.
During her tenure at AEO, Siegal led the organization through a significant period of change and helped the company succeed through the recent years of complex macroeconomic challenges.

FreeWire
The manufacturer of battery-integrated EV charging stations announced it has named Alex Fishkin its chief legal officer and general counsel.
Prior to joining FreeWire, Fishkin held chief legal officer positions at Luminar Technologies, a maker of automotive sensing and perception technology, and Momentus, a space transportation business.
He also led various legal efforts at Google as a corporate counsel earlier in his career.

Kepler Group
The global digital marketing services provider announced it has hired Ruchi Prasad as its general counsel.
Prasad has more than 12 years of legal experience in global, high-tech markets, most recently serving as general counsel for the Americas at Media.Monks and global general counsel for MightyHive.
She has also held legal policy positions at Twitter and Visa.

Aledade
The physician enablement company announced it has named Phuong Phillips chief legal officer.
Before joining Aledade, Phillips served as the chief legal officer for Zynga where she led the company’s $12.7B acquisition by Take-Two.
Prior to Zynga, Phillips served as associate general counsel for Tesla, where she led domestic and international acquisition strategy and execution.
