The biopharmaceutical company AbbVie announced it has promoted Perry Siatis to executive vice president, general counsel and secretary.
Siatis will assume legal department leadership from Chief Legal Officer Laura Schumacher, who is retiring from the company after 32 years at AbbVie and its predecessor company Abbott.
Siatis has most recently served as SVP and deputy GC while being responsible for overseeing and providing legal guidance for commercial, transactional, R&D and litigation matters around the world, as well as corporate governance. He joined the legal department of Abbott Laboratories 17 years ago and advanced through a series of leadership roles with increasing responsibility at Abbott and then AbbVie.
"Perry is the optimal choice to build on Laura's successes. He has contributed significantly to our growth since joining AbbVie in 2005, leading our ethics and compliance programs and strategic initiatives in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, litigation, licensing and intellectual property,” said Richard Gonzalez, AbbVie’s chairman and CEO.
Stewart Information Services
The global real estate services company announced that Elizabeth Giddens will serve as its next chief legal officer.
Giddens comes to Stewart with nearly 25 years of legal expertise, including five years at a top international law firm and 16 years at several public companies.
She most recently served as SVP and general counsel at Integer Holdings. Giddens will first serve as Stewart’s deputy chief legal officer to work alongside John Killea during his transition into retirement from his post as CLO and chief compliance officer.

Senda BioSciences
The biotechnology company announced the appointment of Barbara Bispham as SVP and general counsel.
Bispham joins Senda from BridgeBio Pharma, where she was most recently vice president, head of legal.
She transitioned in-house from Goodwin Procter, where she was a member of the firm's Tech & Life Sciences Group.
"I look forward to supporting the team in a range of legal capacities as it continues to pioneer the development of comprehensively programmable medicines in the pursuit of developing breakthrough therapies for patients in need,” Bispham said of her new role.
Lumos
The fiber optic internet company announced A.J. Brown has been named its chief legal officer.
Brown joins Lumos having most recently served as VP of regulatory affairs for Dense Air Networks, where she played a significant role in the company’s regulatory engagement in the U.S. and abroad.
She previously served as counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives’ Energy and Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, as well as legal advisor to the Federal Communications Commission's Incentive Auction Task Force.

Lineage Logistics
The industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider announced the appointment of Natalie Matsler as chief legal officer and corporate secretary.
Most recently, Matsler served as general counsel of McCourt Partners, a private investment platform based in California where she successfully led several projects in real estate development featuring green technology and resilient design.
This is her second time working for Lineage, as she originally joined the company in 2014 and served in multiple legal leadership roles, including senior vice president and deputy general counsel, through April 2021.
