- The keynote speaker on the first day of the conference will be Iuliia Mendel, former press secretary and spokesperson for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. She is expected to provide her insights about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and its broader implications.

One of the highlights for attendees of the ACC’s gathering at Resorts World Las Vegas will be hearing from high-profile general counsel and chief legal officers about the most pressing issues they face.
Some of the prominent legal department leaders scheduled to speak are David Zapolsky, SVP and general counsel at Amazon; Dara Redler, chief legal officer at H&R Block; Cristina Gonzalez, chief legal officer at Staples; and Hemant Pathak, chief legal counsel at Microsoft Federal.
Zapolsky is scheduled to speak Tuesday afternoon at a session about how legal chiefs can advance corporate social impact and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. One of the other panelists for that session is Dev Stahlkopf, EVP and chief legal officer at Cisco.
Gonzalez will speak at a session Monday afternoon about the journey to become a CLO or general counsel. She is scheduled to be joined by James Turoff, SVP and CG at Hershey; and Jose Ramon Gonzalez, CLO at Equitable Holdings.
Pathak is scheduled to speak Tuesday morning on a panel highlighting how legal departments can be effective business partners.
The sessions covering environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters include “Strategies in Managing the Evolving Haystack of ESG” on Monday and “Climate Change Policies and Regulations: Tackling Challenges and Embracing Opportunities” on Tuesday.
Other sessions will focus on how to build a global compliance program, data retention tools, alternative career paths and contract management. Attendees can earn continuing legal education (CLE) and continuing professional development (CPD) credits at the conference.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with a variety of legal industry vendors, including legal technology companies, and participate in networking activities throughout the event.
The conference will be held in-person, but there are sessions that will be made available for remote attendees.
