Dive Insight:
The launch of Agiloft University comes amid a very competitive contract lifecycle management market that includes other providers with their own training initiatives.
Eric Laughlin, Agiloft’s CEO, said there is also a growing talent war to secure contract operations professionals’ services. Agiloft University is designed to deepen the talent pool in this domain, he said.
“As contract lifecycle management establishes itself as a business-critical function in the enterprise, a new breed of in-house professional is needed to handle the processes and technology used to manage contracts,” Laughlin said.
The company said the curriculum will provide training for users across legal, sales and procurement teams.
The university program, which includes three certification levels, will help participants configure their Agiloft CLM systems to streamline operations, enhance revenue and reduce risk. Data security will be another focus of the training.
Participants will also learn how to move from automating their contract management processes to effectively using the data hidden in contracts.
“This will ensure that their organization’s unstructured contract data is transformed into business-critical intelligence that ultimately delivers more strategic value and intelligence to optimize wider business outcomes,” Agiloft said in its press release.
Rose Booble, global technical training manager at Agiloft, added that graduates will “have the skills they need to ensure their CLM is both optimized and a strategic competitive advantage for their corporation.”
The company also said there will be opportunities for classroom-style instruction and one-on-one sessions at the Agiloft Summit in Las Vegas later this month. This part of the programming is known as Agiloft UniversityLIVE.
